What To Wear For Your Petite Frame

Hope you babes are off to a great week!! I’m so excited to announce that Express has finally launched their PETITES line!! For those of you who are 5’4 or under, you’re probably familiar with the process of finding denim, bodysuits and dresses that fit your small frame. I’m constantly updating my wardrobe, so it’s always really difficult for me to find pieces that I can keep without making custom alterations. When Express came to me about their new petites collection, I was so excited to be part of something that I can personally relate to and share with my fellow petite girls!! This month I partnered up with Express to showcase my go-to staple pieces from the entire collection and share how I wore them for a fun day around one of my favorite neighborhoods :) 

For me, finding denim that fits my petite frame is the most difficult..either the jeans run too long or appear large around my ankle area. So when I tried these mid rise jeans from Express, I was so excited to find that they fit in all the right places, slimmed my thighs and even helped shaped my lower abdomen!  And most importantly, they are the perfect length!! Over the years, I’ve spent a lot of money on custom alterations to make my denim fit perfectly..so I’m sticking to these jeans for a long time!!

Bodysuits are one of my go-to staple pieces, but most of the time I struggle to find bodysuits that fit my shorter torso and don’t bunch up on the bottom. The three reasons why I love this bodysuit are that it’s skin-tight all around, elongates my small frame and has a thong bottom so no lines are exposed through your denim! It’s also very versatile, here I wore it off-the-shoulder, but you can also pull up one of the sleeves for a one-shoulder look.

As we strolled along Venice Boulevard, we spotted a really cool vintage record store called Timewarp Records. The store walls are like a gallery in itself..filled with huge selections of vintage records that are hard to find elsewhere. We left the shop with “The Invisble Man’s Band” and Michael Jackson’s “Bad” ..I’m so excited find a place for these at my apartment!!

As the sunset hit, we stopped by my new favorite Ice Cream Shop, Sweet Lucie’s. This place is seriously heaven. All of the ice-cream and waffle cones are freshly hand-made in house.. and the selection of flavors is beyond amazing (I wanted to try them all!) My recommendation? Lavender Honey …you won’t be disappointed!!
