Bring on the florals!! Whether it’s for spring, summer or this upcoming fall..florals are not going away anytime soon and I’m not complaining! I’ve always been a big fan of florals, it’s one of my go-to prints for adding a feminine touch to any outfit and making me feel girly. I found this floral top and pants set at Zara a few weeks ago and thought it would be perfect to dress up my bump for a day out! Now that I’m at the 6 month mark, my pregnancy style has completely changed. At first, I was wearing more loose-fitting clothes to hide the bump, but now that it’s in full effect I’m all about showing it off! I’ve been feeling most comfortable in fitted stretchy dresses, rompers, and just last week I finally gave into buying my first pair of maternity pants!! As much as I love mixing and matching with other pieces in my closet, there’s nothing better than throwing on a matching set..especially on those lazy days. I paired this set with netural accessories like these nude satin heels by Tony Bianco and white handbag by Parisa Wang. I topped off the look with silver jewelry like my drop earrings from Adornmonde and new Michele watch! Finding ways to pull off the whole print-on-print look isn’t always easy, so here are 3 simple ways to have your floral game on point:
1. Go with one color-scheme and print
For this look, I choose to wear a matching floral set that was all one color and print so it flowed perfectly. Some floral prints can look really busy and others can be really simple. I’m really comfortable with prints and colors, but if you’re new to print-on-print, try finding a floral print that has a neutral color scheme and is more spaced out and simple. You can never go wrong with black and white right?
2. Stick to neutral accessories
When you’re working with a print or pattern, it’s always good to stick with neutral accessories to balance out the look. Since this set features a strong color palette and busy print, I wanted to keep my accessory game as simple as possible. White, silver and nude are always my go-to combination because it keeps my look sleek and sophisticated!
3. Pick a style and go with it
Florals come in all sorts of colors and variations, so you have to style your outfit according to the style you go for. This floral set has a rich red and pink color palette and girly print, so I dressed it up with heels and delicate jewelry to keep it soft and feminine. But if you’re feeling edgy, choose a more versatile print and color palette that you can pair with boots or sneakers!
Hope you babes are having an amazing week! I’ve been trying my best to fight off this cold for almost a week now :( Hopefully I’ll be all better after this weekend! Wish me luck :)
P.S- Being sick in bed last weekend gave me a chance to clean out my whole closet and so I’ve added TONS of new items to my Depop!! Happy Shopping ;)
