Happy Friday my lovelies!! Switching to fall wardrobe has not been an option for us Californians just yet. I’m counting down the days until I can start layering and wearing my new fall booties and jackets, but for now I’ll be getting in my last summer looks while I can! Today I wanted to show you guys a fresh way to style one of my favorite closet staples. Until this day, I can’t pass up a good white button-up shirt. A classic white button-up is timeless, not to mention there’s countless ways you can wear it! You can tuck it into a skirt, layer it under a slip dress, or dress it down with denim for a casual look. As I’m sure you guys know by now, I’ve been wearing stretchy bodycon dresses on repeat and now… I’m into the bodycon maxi skirts For this look, I wore a maxi bodycon skirt by Ronny Kobo which was super comfy for my growing bump! I paired it with this classic white button-up, but chose to tie the bottom half of the blouse into a crop to make it more fun and flirty! To finish off the look, I wore these ruffle-trimmed heels by Tony Bianco and my mini antigona by Givenchy. I love this outfit because it’s the perfect combination between casual and dressy, ideal for a date night, plus you can never go wrong with black and white right?! Leaving a few buttons undone and tying the blouse into a crop really makes the look go from sophisticated to more playful and not so serious.
The shadow striped detailing on this button-up by Ramy Brooke gives a simple blouse like this some extra depth and the back has an opening that gives it a bit of sexiness!
And if you’re worried about your button-up looking masculine or boxy, adding a few feminine touches like a structured bag, lace-up heels or colorful patterns is a great way to spice up the look and make it more flattering. Basically, the possibilities are endless..so if you don’t already have a crisp white button-up in your wardrobe, you need to get yourself one asap!
