Our baby girl is ONE!!! This past weekend we celebrated Ále’s first birthday with our close friends and family at our home and it was beyond amazing! I couldn’t think of a more perfect way to celebrate our sweet beba! ♥ I was a little worried she’d be overwhelmed with all of our guests (over 70 people and babies) and everyone singing Happy Birthday to her, but she LOVED it and was soaking up all the attention! She was totally loving her birthday princess moment!
Now for the party details! Since we never had an official housewarming, this was actually the first time all of our friends got to visit our home! As rany of you know, G and I have been slowly renovating and decorating our home since we moved in. We knew we wanted Ále’s first birthday to be here with all her close friends and family around, so we raced to get all of our last-minute renovations done before the party!! Believe it or not, we actually finished renovating our powder room and yard the day before the party lol! We’re so happy it all worked out just in time! One of the things that sold us on this house was the open floorplan which is perfect for having guests over. We really wanted to utilize different areas of the house and create little set-ups in each space. We decorated the front of the house with brass lanterns, balloons, and brought in a Latin Cuisine food truck that we parked in our driveway! We turned our dining room into a gorgeous dessert table and floral explosion that was the perfect backdrop for photos! In our family room, we created a cozy play area on the rug with huge stuffed animals for the babies to have some playtime. And for the yard, we created a sweet little bohemian chic cozy lounge area where our guests could sit, eat, and mingle!
Now for decor. From the beginning I knew I didn’t want to do a themed party. I envisioned something that would be timeless and elegant with some fun elements that still made it feel like a 1 year old’s birthday party. I wanted to concentrate on florals, balloons, lounge furniture mixed in with some fun surprises! Irises Designs created a floral dream and set the atmosphere for the entire event! I really wanted to incorporate some of my favorite winter florals like anemone, silver brunias, ranunculus, winter roses, and touches of pampas grass. This stunning floral wall was the most perfect backdrop against the dessert table..every detail was so beautiful and tied in perfectly with the desserts and the rest of the party.
Dream dessert table!! I’m still in awe of how incredibly stunning this set-up was! Cindy from SweetLeeMade created the most beautiful desserts with every detail reflecting Alessandra’s personality! The gorgeous spread included unicorn cake popsicles, floral-inspired cake pops, Madeline towers, and customized “Alessandra Marie” and “One” floral cookies!
Obsessed with this stunning little oasis Thrifted Sister Vintage created in our backyard. I really wanted to transform our yard into a sweet, cozy, and kid friendly space for our guests! I couldn’t be happier with these pretty furniture and decor rentals!! The layered rugs, plush velvet pillows, and cozy poufs really set the ambiance in our yard and made it more cozy and inviting for our guests and their babies.
Still can’t get over how adorable this set-up is by Thrifted Sister Vintage! Matching mommy and mini peacock chairs!
How fun (and photo-worthy) is this popsicle cart by Pacific Organic Party Pops?! Since we had so many babies and kids at the party, I wanted to make sure we had something fun that the kids would enjoy. The popsicles were a huge HIT and not just for the kids lol..everyone kept lining up for more! I love that we got to customize our own menu and add dairy-free options for some of our guests!
Party Shop Avenue created a beautiful balloon garland that perfectly coordinated with every detail of the party and really transformed my yard into a kids paradise!
Still obsessing over this table spread by my go-to party goods brand Harlow & Grey! I used their tableware for my baby shower a little over a year ago and loved it so much that I had to try out another collection for Alessandra’s first birthday! For my baby shower, I incorporated more blush tones so I did a mix of the Goddess and Blanc collection. I’ve been dying to use the Noir Collection ever since and it tied in perfectly to match the black accents at the party!
Taco and empanada heaven on wheels. And is this not the chicest food truck you’ve ever seen?! I think everyone at the party become Maravilla’s #1 customer that day ha! Maravilla Latin Cuisine takes it back 3 generations to create their yummy recipes from scratch daily. I’m talking fresh handmade empanadas, warm tortilla’s, and well-marinated meats that make each bite as flavorful as the last!
I loved the idea of bringing in a food truck and parking it right outside our porch, at the starting point of our party. The Maravilla Latin Cuisine team created a customized menu for the party with yummy and fresh spicy lime chicken and steak tacos, handmade empanadas and even had gluten-free and vegan options to accommodate all of our guests!
And what’s a birthday party without a bubbly bar for mom and dad, thanks to OneHope wine! The silver and gold glitter champagne bottles were the perfect fun touch too!
We filled our family room with these huge stuffed animals and bears so the babies could have a little space to have playtime with each other! Alessandra and her baby friends had the best time rolling around in here with each other!
The cutest party favors for Ále’s friends!! Little Giraffe is one of my favorite baby brands for their plush toys, cozy blankets, and personalized gifts. For the party, we did a mix of plush toys and blankets that say LOVE on them for all of Ále’s friends!
Thank you to all of our sweet friends and family that came to celebrate our baby girl and make her feel so loved and special!!
