Happy Monday loves!

Denim has been revitalized this season. Thinking back to a few years ago, we didn’t see half of the trends that we see today in denim. Denim has really evolved past the runways and is moving its way into street style and high fashion. Designers are constantly looking for new ways to broaden the category of denim and incorporate unique designs into a simple pair of jeans. I’ve been SO inspired by the new denim trends for Fall!! I’ve put together a list of 6 new ways to wear denim this season, with all the shoplinks you need to find your favorite pair!

1 | Embroidered Denim

One of my favorite trends this season is embroidered denim. Anything from embroidered jeans, jackets to skirts..I love it all! One of the reasons why I love this trend so much is because it reminds me of the summer months and is perfect for transitioning into Fall. Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of colored floral embroidery, so this jacket from Tularosa seemed perfect for this post! I’m obsessed with all the detailing around the jacket; I can throw it over a pair of black skinnies, leather skirt or even do the denim-on-denim look! I’ve also put a list of other options including more budget-friendly choices in the shoplinks below!

2 |Distressed Denim

Another one of my go-to trends of the season is distressed denim! I love how versatile distressed denim can be. You can always get that effortless lived-in vibe or dress it up with heels and a bomber jacket to look chic and edgy. I usually like to look for jeans with subtle rips around the knee area and wear polished feminine pieces to play off the masculine silhouette. When I’m feeling more casual, there’s nothing better than pairing your favorite distressed denim with a white-t and bomber jacket (my real go-to look). I’ve put together a list of high-end and affordable distressed denim for you guys in the shoplinks below; a few of my favorites are Black Orchid, Blank NYC, and GRLFRND Denim.

3 | Flared Denim

This 70’s style has made a huge comeback this season..and it’s back better than ever. When I got my first pair of flared denim, I didn’t think it would look flattering on my petite frame. But paired with the right heels, I actually loved the look of flares when I dressed them up with heeled platforms and a floral blouse. Having the perfect hem length is crucial when it comes to the fit, the culottes should be right in the middle of your shin. If you’re petite like me, try wearing a high-waisted style and adding a cute leather belt to accentuate your waist.

4 | Denim Skirts

Denim skirt’s are back in full-effect this season, from embroidered skirts to button-down skirts, distressed, raw hems and slits. For me, denim skirts are the perfect alternative to wearing jeans, especially on days when it’s hot and humid. When the temperatures start to dip, I love tucking in my favorite merino and lace-up sweaters into my denim skirt for a chic and modern feel. I love how extremely versatile denim skirts are, I can easily transition my casual day outfit into an evening look with a pair of lace-up heels, silk top and leather jacket. Find what style works best for you; usually a skirt that hits above your knee is flattering and stylish. I’ve put together a list of my favorite denim skirts, from distressed to embroidered right below!

5 | Patchwork and Two-Toned Denim

Patchwork and two-toned denim is trending everywhere this season and proving to be a distinctive style. At first it seems hard to pull off wearing a pair of jeans with different colored panels everywhere, but there are so many styles that have emerged from this trend. You can slowly work the style into your wardrobe by wearing an asymmetrical hem or two-toned pockets. This way you are embracing the trend without having to make huge steps right away. I like to keep the cool-girl look when wearing this type of denim, pairing suble patchwork jeans with an oversized shirt, bralette and heels for a casual daytime outfit. Since the look is already so eye-catching and bold, make sure to pair the bottoms with a basic top and simple accessories.

6 | Frayed Denim

I love frayed denim; the raw and unfinished hem gives the jeans such a cool-girl factor. Whether you love wearing skinny jeans or cropped denim, frayed hems can work on any type of denim. Dress it up with a button-up blouse or pair it with a polished blazer to give the look a classic twist. And if you’re feeling casual, pair your frayed denim with a white-t and sneakers for a chill vibe. I’ve put a list of my favorite frayed denim below; from jeans to dresses and even frayed shirts!
