For the longest time, I’ve been looking for a product that can blur out my imperfections, shine and give me a photo-finish look in less than a minute. I was so excited when Shiseido launched their Ibuki Smart Filtering Smoother because I knew this would quickly become my holy grail product! I’m so used to being in front of the camera on a regular basis, whether it’s shooting photos for the blog, filming a beauty tutorial or a casual vlog..there are days when my skin just doesn’t feel photogenic and the last thing I want to do is be on camera. I’ve always struggled with oiliness in my T-Zone and larger pores, so having products that smooth out my skin and leave a matte finish are a must. Over the years, I’ve tried so many expensive products to blur out my pores and imperfections, but I always felt like they would clog my pores, causing more breakouts and blackheads. A few days ago I had a huge wedding to attend and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to use this product for the first time. I applied it as my primer and was so impressed with how my makeup stayed on all day and night..no touch ups needed! Ever since then, I’ve incorporated Shiseido’s Ibuki Smart Filtering Smoother into my daily routine and I’ve been getting so many compliments about my skin on and off camera! It’s been such a game changer for me and I seriously cannot leave my house without it now!!
Most of the time, my days include really busy mornings working from home and even longer afternoons full of meetings, shooting content, recording new music, and running errands around town. So I’m always in need of products that are quick and easy on-the-go; that’s why I love this product. The formula immediately absorbs into my skin and gives me that flawless, skin blurring effect right away! I’ve been applying it before my foundation, but can also use it for touch ups over foundation throughout the day! Sometimes I’ll apply it in my car right before a meeting or shoot and not have to worry about re-applying all my makeup. I simply pat on a pea-size amount on my skin and a little goes a long way. It saves so much time for me and makes my day go so much smoother with one less thing to worry about. The formula is lightweight, so even if you’re applying multiple times a day, you never feel like too much product is on your skin. Seriously life changing, especially if you have visible pores like me!!

And how cute is the packaging?! I love how small, sleek and compact the bottle is..I can even fit it into my smallest clutches for an evening event or red carpet!

My skin has changed a lot over the years, but as you can see from this photo I still struggle with a bit of a rough texture and oiliness. As you can see above, the difference in my skin from before applying the Ibuki Smart Filtering Smoother, and after application, is clearly noticeable. The product completely absorbed my shine and gave me a photo-ready like filter! This formula features unique technology and ingredients such as oil targeting micro powder that work to absorb excess sebum on the skin and minimize your pores. Unlike most products that mattify your skin and leave it feeling dry, this product is formulated to keep your skin hydrated and matte at the same time. Not only does my skin feel smoother and photogenic, it also feels healthy and moisturized at all times. I usually apply the product as my primer before my makeup because it gives my skin an airbrushed finish and creates a perfect canvas for makeup application.

And voila!! I’m so happy with the look, feel, and practicality of this product, I’m definitely adding it into my daily routine! I’m looking forward to trying out new makeup looks for summer and not having to worry about piling on loads of foundation to cover up my pores!!!
