Happy first day of summer loves! Hope you all are having a productive week :) I’m so excited to be back with my second city tour..this time featuring Santa Monica!! I loved seeing all your sweet comments on the blog and IG when I shared last week’s adventure in Los Feliz! This time, we wanted to explore somewhere completely different and check out some places by the beach. Santa Monica has always been one of my favorite areas. It has the best of both worlds, the beach where you can go tan, relax and swim, and just blocks away you can get the city vibe, shop, dine, watch movies or go dancing!
Sweet Rose Creamery
Our first stop included a much-needed sugar kick to start off our day. We stopped into Sweet Rose Creamery after hearing about their one-of-a-kind flavors and Instagram-worthy interior! There were so many good flavors to choose from like Salted Caramel, Old Fashioned Vanilla, Stone Fruit Sorbet..and the list goes on. My final pick?? The Brown Butter with Orange Wafer..sooo incredibly delicious! Sometimes I wonder who comes up with these crazy flavors..so good! If you guys haven’t caught on by now..I have a bit of an obsession with ice-cream and love trying out new little ice cream shops in different parts of the city, so I couldn’t pass this place up!
My two-piece set from A’gaci is giving me serious 4th of July vibes…I may have to bring it back for the holiday! I dressed it up with my red strappy heels from Tony Bianco, but would also pair it with white sneakers when I want to go for a more casual look.
Georgian Hotel
One of my favorite landmarks in Santa Monica is the Georgian Hotel! This building dates way back to 1933, so you know what that means! There’s been quite a few haunted tales and sightings within the hotel, so if you’re interested in haunted happenings I recommend reading up on it and even checking it out for a night or two. Now aside from the haunted tales, there’s so many things I love about this building like it’s colorful walls and vintage features.
Love this polka dot ruffle skirt by Lovely Pepa Collection.. so easy and chic to throw on with heels or sandals. The material is super soft and lightweight too making it the perfect staple skirt for summer!
All about drop earrings this summer and just got these amazing hoop drops from Adornemonde! Definitely a staple!
The Penthouse at The Huntley Hotel
If you want the best panoramic views of the ocean and city, the Penthouse at the Huntley Hotel is it!! We stopped in to check out the breathtaking views and grab a pre-dinner drink! And I couldn’t be more obsessed with their interior…clean white, gorgeous chandeliers and cabana style tables overlooking the ocean views!! The restaurant also has a lounge menu that features small bites like cheese plates, truffle fries etc if you don’t have a dinner reservation, but want to check out the stellar views!
FIG Restaurant
After our long day of touring Santa Monica, we sat down for an amazing dinner at FIG Restaurant, located inside the Fairmont Hotel just steps away from the beach! Santa Monica can get pretty busy with all the tourists, especially on the weekends so this restaurant was the perfect way to end a busy day..tucked away near the pool area of the hotel and giving off a very relaxed California vibe. FIG is most well-known for their changing seasonal menu and locally sourced ingredients. For the first course, we shared this Bread Balloon which is possibly the most unique appetizer I’ve ordered. The bread was fluffed to perfection and came with 5 different spreads..all so different and equally tasty, I couldn’t get enough!
To compliment the bread balloon, we also had the Charred Octopus served with caper berries, butter beans, sherry vinegar and a touch of mint..perfectly refreshing for a summer dish!
For the second course, we had the Hanger Steak..grilled to perfection, paired with grilled potatoes and Chinese long beans. Definitely a must!
And the masterpiece of our entire meal was the Wood Grilled Whole Fish, placed on a bed of charred broccoli finished off with a tahini and ginger mignonette. So incredibly delicious!
By this point, we were getting really full..but the dessert menu was way too good to pass up! So we ordered 2 lol! The Peanut Butter Bar and Tres Leches Tiramisu. Now first, can we talk about this presentation?? Almost too pretty to eat! I highly recommend ordering both of these desserts and sharing, you won’t regret it!
A big thank you to FIG Santa Monica for having us :) Hope you guys stop in and check out this amazing restaurant!

Where to next? ;)
