AHHHHHHHHHHH WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!!!! First off, thank you thank you thank you guys a million for all of the sweetest messages you’ve poured in over Instagram the last couple days! I’m overwhelmed by your love and support of our journey together, thank you! I can’t even begin to tell you how good it feels to be marrying my absolute soulmate, love of my life, once in a lifetime, heart stopping dream of a man! Never did I think a love like this could exist.. everything I grew up dreaming about when I was young, pales in comparison to the reality of what our real life love is!
G – you make my every day special. Whether it be trips to Rome or a Netflix marathon on the couch, every experience is an adventure! I love that I know no matter what life throws our way, good or bad, we’ll be making our way through together…This weekend didn’t start off pretty…Our dog Missy, my little Maltese I’ve had for 13 years, had a stroke in the middle of the night. I had already fallen asleep, and Gabriel was still awake around 2am because he was secretly planning his proposal! A good, easy night at home turned into a nightmare when he woke me up telling me something was wrong with Missy…she suddenly was foaming at the mouth, couldn’t hold herself up or walk, her head was hanging to one side and eyes swaying back and forth. I love my little girl like she’s my baby so seeing her in this state set me in tears and we immediately rushed her to the emergency 24 hour vet. We were there with her until 6am and after many tests, the vets told us that fortunately all her vitals were steady, that she could go home (thank God), but would need to be watched closely. Honestly it was such a horrible and traumatic experience, but going through it with G felt like everything was going to be ok. He has a constant calm and strong disposition, so comforting and caring, and I know he’s going to be the best daddy when that day comes… Now back to the proposal!
G had told me Friday morning that he was planning a big date day for me all day Saturday so I shouldn’t make any plans, but with everything Missy went through we decided in the morning it would be best to just stay home by her side. He cooked her chicken and rice because she wasn’t eating her normal food and he fed it to her since she was still feeling so weak (how sweet is he!!!?). I decided to check in with my best friend Luisa to see if there was any chance she could come watch Missy for a few hours so we could still salvage at least part of our date day, and she said of course no problem, and that she’d be right over…
We left for our date and I was still feeling so down about Missy, it was hard for me to think about anything else, but Gabriel was so comforting, positive and reassuring, I was able to still enjoy myself a bit. He had arranged for an afternoon at the spa for the two of us, complete with massages and a manicure for me :) It was so calming and relaxing, but the best part was yet to come!
After our massages, we came home to this!!!!! Our apartment was filled with rose petals and candles everywhere and a romantic dinner for two!!! I was so confused with how all of this was accomplished but just in awe of how incredibly beautiful is all was! He said he knows I’ve been really stressed lately between lots of work and what was going on with Missy, and just wanted to do something special for me (seriously how perfect is he!).
When I asked where Missy and Luisa were, he said they were actually hanging out on the rooftop and we should go get Missy so Luisa could take off, but when we got up there and I opened the door to the lounge, there was another path of rose petals and candles that led to a giant heart made of more rose petals, and a room full of some of my closest friends and family!
Pictures from our favorite trips and memories together were all I saw as we walked through the path..
And then he just held me in those big arms of his I love so much, told me how much he’s loved me, how much more he loves me everyday..
Then got down on one knee!!! And look at that face! Ugh what a face! That SMILE! He asked me to marry him, to be his wife, and I’d say yes over and over again if I could re-live that moment. 
It was so incredibly special that we had so many people we love and cherish in our lives there with us to experience the moment I want to hold onto forever. Thank you guys for being there, Mom, Dad, my grandparents, Luisa, Rory, Maressa, Racquel, Jill, Julia, Nicole, Jordan, Aunt Beth and Mark, Kassie and Pauolo, for sharing your blessings and positive energy with us. We’re so grateful for you and love you too! 
And my RING!!! He did good eh?! This is my forever, Baby, you are my heaven on earth, and I can’t wait to make a family and spend the rest of our lives together! I love you with everything!
