Happy Wednesday my loves!! I just got back from Boston last night and I’m already missing it! ♥ It was so nice to have a few days to unwind, explore the city and most importantly, spend some time with my fiancé’s family (still so crazy calling him that!!). Gabriel’s mom’s side of the family lives in Boston and since his cousin got married on Saturday, we flew in for the wedding! That made the trip all more special because we got to take our baby girl to her first wedding and I could feel her dancing around in my belly..she was as excited as we were!
I’ve been to Boston many times before and always loved the city. When I was signed to Warner Brothers I did 3 performances there, so this time, being back in the city with my fiancé and his family was such a different experience. One of our first stops was Quincy Market, a historic market in the heart of downtown Boston that is the hub for all of Boston’s most iconic cuisines!! There are tons of small eateries and restaurants that have delicacies like clam chowder, Boston cream pie, lobster rolls and amazing seafood! Let’s just say I was a very happy and satisfied pregnant lady in the middle of Quincy Market haha. If you guys are ever planning a trip to Boston, I highly recommend putting this market at the top of your travel guide. You won’t regret it!
We also visited Lawn on D which is the go-to spot for live performances and lawn games, perfect for some down time with family and friends! And the best part was the swings! But not just any park swings… these were solar-powered with LED lights that change color when you swing at different speeds and heights..how cool right?! One of the fun touristy things to do if you’re ever in Boston!
One of our highlights from the trip was staying at the W Boston Hotel! From our very first night, they went above and beyond to make our stay special :) We were greeted with pink converse for our baby girl that said ‘Baby Malay’…ahhh how cute?! I still can’t get over it!! The hotel was in a prime location, just a short walk from Boston Common and the famous Wang Theatre. What I love most about Boston is how compact it is, it’s actually been ranked the third most walkable city in the America! LA is the complete opposite and requires a lot of driving, so whenever I come to Boston I love staying somewhere central and walking around the city! The Theatre District houses a lot of the city’s best theatres, so it’s full of a lot of character and gives you more than the usual city vibe.
Our suite was beyond gorgeous..I’m talking floor-to-ceiling windows with incredible city views, sleek interior decor, comfy furniture..they don’t call it the WOW suite for nothing!! The W never feels like a chain to me, I love that the design in every city is so different and cutting-edge. The interior decor at the Boston location was something really unique…sleek, edgy, and each suite pulled inspiration from Boston’s revolutionary history.
All dressed and up and ready for the wedding with my love ♥ I got so many messages about my dress over the weekend, it’s a midi dress from the brand Nookie and the fit was so flattering and comfy..even with my bump!
I’m gonna miss waking up to this view and red velvet pancakes!! A big thank you to the W Hotel Boston and Zoey for making our stay so special. ♥ We will be back soon!!
Back to LA and comfy as ever in my crewneck by Beloved Lane. And I was so excited to bring along my new carry-on luggage by my boss babe, Lisa of @LAClosetDesign! Not only does she design incredible closets, but she designed a collection of luggage too! I’m always packing in a rush, so this carry-on is seriously a game changer..it has compartments for your shoes, blow dryer, make-up, jewelry and even more. A bonus is it’s ultra-sleek design to keep your airport style as chic as possible!
Hope you loves are having a productive week :)
Muahhh!! Jessi
