Good morning babes!! I can’t believe it’s already October! Time has been flying by so fast throughout my third trimester and we’re only about 2 months away from our babygirl coming into this world! During these past few months, Gabriel and I have been spending our weekends exploring different neighborhoods in LA trying to find our future home, somewhere we can make memories and comfortably raise a family!
On this particular Sunday, we chose to explore one of our favorite areas in the city, Beverly Hills. Growing up in LA, Beverly Hills was always a dream! A peaceful oasis within the busy city and a short drive from the beach! After our open house, we decided to walk around and get a feel for the neighborhood. We stumbled upon this pretty wall with leftover bougainvillea from the summertime and thought it would be the perfect backdrop for my outfit! I was wearing my favorite new light cashmere sweater dress and Chloe bag from Farfetch! G and I always love coming here to shoot because no matter what season it is, each street is so unique in itself and full of nature, greenery, palm-trees and beautiful landscaping that you can’t easily find elsewhere in the city. It’s such a big dream of ours to own a house here one day, but for now we are taking it slow and trying to explore different neighborhoods to see what suits us best.
Now back to my outfit ;) A good sweater dress is always a must-have staple for fall! With all the trends that come and go, it’s one of the few pieces that will last for seasons to come which makes it a great investment piece. There are countless ways you can style this Cashmere In Love ‘Tiera Dress.’ Add a pair of thigh high boots or ankle booties, layer it with a leather jacket or trench depending on how cold it is and voila! I’m especially loving the cut and fit for my bump! The fabric is a super fine rib knit that is so delicate against the skin and most importantly doesn’t add any extra bulk to my silhouette. During the past few months of my pregnancy, I’ve found it to be more flattering to wear solid colors and body skimming dresses that are stretchy and elongate my figure without adding any excess volume. Plus, skirts and dresses are so much easier for me to put on with my growing belly and I love how they shape my bump so nicely! Lately, ‘less is more’ has become my motto and quality basics like this sweater dress have become a go-to in my wardrobe because they are easy to throw on, yet always look sleek and sophisticated with the right accessories!
I love the juxtaposition between light camel and deep burgundy tones because it creates the perfect fall color palette that isn’t too dark or heavy for the season.
I paired this dress with my new favorite fall accessory, the Chloe Faye Wallet Bag in burgundy, and white ankle booties, which you’ll also be seeing a lot more of this season! The Chloe ‘Faye’ Wallet Bag is one of those perfect small sized bags that holds much more than you think. The interior is really spacious and fits my phone, cards, keys and a few lipsticks! I’ve always loved the classic shape of this bag and the suede/leather combination makes it feel rich and unique.
Because my wardrobe has become much more streamlined and simple as of late, I’ve really been having a good time playing around with lots of accessories and mixing metals! I’ve been stacking rosegold and silver bracelets from Vita Fede along with my Michele ‘Deco’ Watch that was a birthday present from Gabriel. Love the look of the different metals and textures and how they really play up a basic look.
We’ve loved taking you guys along with us on our house-hunting adventures and all of your suggestions and advice has been greatly appreciated!! Love you guys more than you know and can’t wait for the moment when we finally find our dream home!
XO, Jessi
